Richardson High Color Guard provides the Secretary of Education of the United States at a Town Hall in Richardson Texas

To kick this year off our JROTC Cadets were invited to a national event on 18 Aug 2025. Richardson AJROTC was to provide a Color Guard for the United States Secretary of Education the Honorable Linda McMahon. The event was hosted by the Women for T.R.U.T.H. “Together we Rise: Women United for T.R.U.T.H.” ( which stand for: Transparency, Revitalize/Reaffirm, Unity, Trust, Health). Our Color Guard presented the colors for over 500 attendees and dignitaries. This was a spectacular event hosted at a national town hall held at the Eiseman center in Richardson Texas. The Cadets consisted of our top Color Guard team winners from last year. The cadets with the US Secretary of Education are from left to right Jazmin Garcia, Madeline Mendez, Marakhal-el Horton, US Secretary of Education, Adriana Calderon Frayre, and Khloe Gonzalez. While at the event our Cadets were able to meet Special Guests include Sadie Schiermeyer, Miss Texas USA for 2025, as well as Emma Fossum, Miss Texas Teen USA 2025, and another number of prominent professional women in healthcare, a national news anchor, cyber security specialist and legal affairs director, authors, and other women with prominent positions within the current administration. The Cadets presented colors for the National Anthem and for the Girl Scout troop who lead the pledge of allegiance to our Flag. I would like to thank Mrs. Tolliver for reaching out to us for this special opportunity to highlight our JROTC Cadets from Richardson High School at this National Event where the JROTC Eagles Rise and Soar to the top.
Great job Cadets and Great Job First Sergeant.
