JROTC

Richardson, Texas— The Richardson High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program has proudly earned the Honor Unit with Distinction award, the highest recognition for JROTC programs nationwide. With an impressive score of 96 out of 100, this achievement highlights the exceptional performance of our Cadets in their first-ever inspection.

The Brigade Staff evaluators praised the program, noting that despite being only five years old, it demonstrated the caliber of a seasoned and well-established unit. This recognition reflects the dedication, discipline, and teamwork of our Cadets and the unwavering support of the staff and community.

The Cadets excelled in a variety of evaluation areas, including:

  • Continuous Improvement Project brief
  • Service Learning Project brief
  • Color Guard drill sequence
  • Platoon drill sequence
  • Uniform inspection
  • Knowledge check
  • Cadet interviews highlighting curriculum knowledge and portfolio presentations

Special acknowledgment goes to First Sergeant Herron and Battalion Commander Yodha Ghattamaneni for their leadership and commitment to excellence. Their tireless efforts have been instrumental in shaping a program that embodies the values of JROTC and brings pride to our school and community.

“We’re incredibly proud of our Cadets for their hard work and dedication,” said Captain Lawrence. “Their outstanding performance truly showcases the strength and potential of our program.”

This milestone is a testament to the continuous improvement and collaborative spirit that defines the [School Name] JROTC. Congratulations to all involved in achieving this remarkable honor!
