Richardson High School JROTC hosts it annual Military Ball.

The Richardson High School JROTC just finished up its annual Military Ball. This year we had guest speaker Ms. Gray speak of leadership and what it means to be the Guidon of leadership. We conducted our Military Ball this year with Pearce JROTC at the Hyatt hotel. Our Cadets led the ceremony and all of the special extricate details that were necessary with the U.S. Army tradition.

Annual sequence of formality started off with a receiving line welcoming all guests Cadets. Then transition to a series of toasts. Dinner was served followed with some mild humor and a grog ceremony. Selected Cadets in leadership roles led toasts. There is a special moment of reverence for the prisoner of war and missing in action known as POW-MIA with great respect for the great loss with roots starting in Vietnam. Cadets continued on and followed up with our guest speaker Ms. Gray. She arose to the opportunity to challenge Cadets on Army Values Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity with emphasis and Personal Courage to do, be, and live all those values. She brought reflection to share and challenge the Cadets to live. Thank you Ms. Gray for being our guest speaker this year. The cadet master of ceremonies then followed up with the announcement of JROTC Court Congratulations to all the court. Lastly the U.S. flag is retired for the evening and the Cadets get a chance to show off some dancing skills and even venues of music provided by D.J. Spinnmo.

Thanks for being an amazing DJ again this year. The Cadets and guests did a great this year selecting formal gowns and suits. Great job to the Cadet leadership for this. Shout out to all the Cadets for all the coordination, planning, and rehearsing between the two schools for this Amazing event.

Thank you Pearce LTC Morton, SFC Patterson, Staff, Cadets, and their guests for a great evening and partnership with the Military Ball themed roaring 20s.
