Richardson High Teaching Internship students competed in the TAFE
Richardson High Teaching Internship students competed in the TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) state competition and have come back with National Qualifiers (going to Nationals in June), State Winners (top award for this division and does not have Nationals category), and lots of awards and medals!

Richardson High School DECA recognized for outstanding School-based Enterprise (SBE) X 2
THE PERCH & THE ROOST, the school-based enterprises at Richardson High School, was among 851 of SBEs school-based enterprises achieving Gold-Level Re-Certification (The Perch) and Gold-Level Certification (The Roost) for the 2024-2025 school year and will be recognized during DECA’s International Career Development Conference this April 26-29, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.

AVID National Demonstration Schools are centers of teaching and learning that also serve as models for those interested in learning about the AVID College Readiness System. They clearly demonstrate an ongoing pursuit of excellence, both in the AVID Elective and AVID Schoolwide, to ensure college and career readiness for all AVID Elective students and improved academic performance for all students based on increased opportunities and support for success.
A National Demonstration School exhibits a college and career readiness system that is evident across the campus through rigor and high expectations for all students. There is significant evidence of AVID impact schoolwide, particularly with the infusion of AVID methodologies in content-area classrooms.
