We Read Together Volunteers Needed

We Read Together Logo

We Read Together is Richardson ISD’s volunteer initiative to champion early literacy skills for students. Students who enter school lacking reading readiness or who don’t read at grade level need additional interventions and resources to catch up to their peers. We know community volunteers and mentors play a pivotal role in advancing literacy skills, helping more students learn how to read, write, and play.

You must register as a volunteer with the Richardson ISD at www.voly.org. This component has to be completed each year. This registration process incorporates your REQUIRED background check and must be completed online. This step must be completed for you to be assigned a campus. You will receive an automated email stating that you have completed the background check process and been cleared.

While waiting, please click on the link https://s.risd.org/WRT2425 to sign up for a day and time that you can volunteer to read with one of the students on the campus.
