Berkner TAFE is National-Bound! 12 Students Take Top Honors at State

The Berkner High School chapter of TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) recently competed at the State level, and the results are in: our future educators are truly “Blooming in the Garden of Education!”

We are thrilled to announce that out of 14 student competitors, 12 placed with top honors. Even more exciting? Five of these talented students have qualified for the National competition and will be heading to Portland, Oregon, this summer!

The National Qualifiers

Our Award-Winning “Harvest”

In addition to our national qualifiers, Berkner students brought home a bounty of medals across multiple categories:

  • 🥇 Gold (Project Visualize): Jocelyn Thomas & Harry Wang
  • 🥈 Silver (JV Children’s Literature K-3): Londynn Bradley & Paris Baggett
  • 🥉 Bronze (Varsity PSA): Leonna Ho, Lyriq Durham, & Sarah Helmich

From the classroom to the National stage, these students are proving exactly what Berkner High School excellence looks like. Portland, here we come!
