Kristy A. Cage has been in education for 22 years, serving as an elementary, junior high, and high school teacher in rural (Louisiana), urban (Washington, DC), and suburban (Richardson) schools. She has also served as a Campus Reading Specialist (Richardson ISD) and ELAR Learning Specialist (Wylie ISD) before transitioning to educational leadership as an assistant principal at Richardson West Junior High School and Berkner High School.
Ms. Cage has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Southern University and A&M College and continued her studies in African-American and British Literature at Howard University. She also has a Master of Arts in Teaching from The American University, and a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.
