A huge congratulations to Aidan Renedo on his outstanding win at the State Fair! Aidan earned 1st place in sculpture for his incredible ceramic artwork.
If you’re visiting the fair, be sure to head over to the Cultural Arts Exhibit to see his winning piece in person. Beyond his sculpting talents, Aidan showed off his skills as a budding chemist by formulating and mixing custom glazes for this piece—achieving a rich grey tone, which is famously difficult to pull off in ceramics.
Creating glaze from scratch is a technical challenge, but putting your artwork out there for the world to see takes even more courage. We couldn’t be prouder of Aidan’s hard work, bravery, and artistic talent.
