Dear Berkner Ramily!
It is with a mix of emotions that I write to you today. For the past six years, it has been my honor and privilege to serve as the Principal at LV Berkner High School STEM Academy. I am writing to inform you that I have accepted a position as the RISD Coordinator of Teacher and Campus Supports for the 2024-2025 school year.
Leaving Berkner is bittersweet for me. While I am excited about the new professional opportunity and the chance for personal growth, saying goodbye to my Berkner Ramily will undoubtedly be one of the most difficult farewells I will ever have to make. For almost 11 years, Berkner has been more than just a workplace; it has been my home. I have formed deep connections with students, families, and staff members, and I am profoundly grateful for the time I have spent here. Berkner is truly a Ramtastic place, and I am confident that it will continue to achieve greatness in the years to come.
The district is beginning the process of finding a highly qualified principal as my replacement. This process will include an opportunity for parent involvement on a principal reflector committee. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact the Area Superintendent of the Berkner Learning Community, Lorie Squalls at Lorie.Squalls@risd.org by Thursday, April 25th.
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for allowing me the privilege of leading Berkner for the past six years. Working alongside the dedicated teachers, inspiring students, supportive parents, and the entire Berkner community has been nothing short of a profound honor. You have enriched my life in ways I cannot adequately express, and I will carry the memories of our time together with me always.
As I prepare to embark on this new chapter of my journey, please know that I will forever cherish the diverse and vibrant Ramily we have built together. Thank you for your support, your tireless dedication, and your enduring spirit. Berkner will always hold a special place in my heart.
