Brentfield Elementary is a Pre-K 3 through 6th grade campus serving approximately 850 students in Richardson ISD. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated teachers and staff work in partnership with families to inspire a love of learning, foster strong character, and empower students to reach their fullest potential. We are committed to meeting every child where they are and helping them discover their strengths, achieve their goals, and thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Assistant Principal Ashley Pondrom

I’m Ashley Pondrom and I am thrilled to be one of your assistant principals! I’ve been a proud member of the Brentfield community for 17 years, starting my journey here as a PE teacher for nine years, then teaching 5th grade for five years. Before becoming a Bobcat, I gained valuable experience at Forestridge Elementary, also within Richardson ISD. My husband, Jason, and I are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Drew, Riley, and Blake.

I truly love this community, our incredible students, and our amazing staff. I am committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere where every student and every staff member feels valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential. It’s a privilege to work alongside such wonderful people and to be an active participant in an environment that consistently inspires growth and collaboration.

Assistant Principal Taylor Knox

My name is Taylor Knox, and I am honored to serve as one of your assistant principals! This is my 10th year in Richardson ISD. As a proud RISD graduate and former Pacesetter Captain at J.J. Pearce High School, it is especially meaningful to now serve the community that helped shape who I am. After attending Kilgore College as a Rangerette and graduating from Texas A&M University, I returned to RISD to teach 1st and 4th grade before moving into campus leadership as a Principal Resident. I am passionate about helping every student reach their full potential, building meaningful relationships, and empowering both children and adults to learn, grow, and thrive. I believe every individual deserves to feel supported, challenged, and inspired to become the very best version of themselves. Working alongside the Brentfield community is truly a dream come true. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning, collaboration, and Bobcat pride!
