Lake Highlands High School is proud to share that we are officially a Purple Star Campus, thanks to the dedicated leadership and hard work of LTC (Ret) Robert Gerald and SFC (Ret) Daisy Andrews from our JROTC program!
The Purple Star School Program plays a vital role in supporting military-connected children as they transition to new schools during family relocations. Because military children move every two to three years on average, the program provides schools with the tools to address the unique educational and social-emotional challenges these students face—ensuring they stay on track to be college, workforce, and life-ready.
To mark this achievement, we honored our military-connected Wildcat students with a special ceremony last week to celebrate their resilience and strength.
A heartfelt thank you to LTC (Ret) Gerald and SFC (Ret) Andrews for championing this program and continually serving our students and military families!
