Ms. Stafford is a Library & Information Technology Educator at Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, TX. She has been a member of the Richardson ISD Cultural Competence Committee for four years, and serves as the district equity liaison for her campus. She is a co-founder of the Lake Highlands Equity Coalition, and works with the RISD Department of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to create and facilitate training for district faculty and staff on effective ways to support LGBTQIA+ students in the classroom and beyond. She has also developed and presented similar trainings for the 2021 and 2022 TLA Conference, TASL and the North Texas Library Expo. Ms. Stafford is committed to ensuring inclusivity within the public education system, diversity in literature and curriculum, and equitable access for all students.
