Principal Emily Lawrence
Dear Northrich Families, Staff, and Community,
I am Emily Lawrence, proud principal of Northrich Elementary, and it is my honor to continue serving this remarkable school. I am proud to share that my entire 22-year career has been devoted to serving the staff, students, and families of Richardson ISD. As a lifelong RISD learner myself, I attended Richardson schools from kindergarten through high school and am a proud graduate of the district.
My journey in education began as a classroom teacher at Richland and Thurgood Marshall Elementary Schools. I later served as a Math Specialist at Aikin Elementary and as an Instructional Coach at Big Springs Elementary. Now entering my third year as principal, I am proud to continue the journey that began during my four years as Northrich’s assistant principal.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. My husband, Kenneth, and I are the proud parents of two energetic and loving children, Rhett and Reagan, as well as our playful dog, Dutch. As a parent, I understand how important it is to feel confident in your child’s school experience, and I am committed to ensuring that Northrich is a place where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to succeed.
As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, I am eager to collaborate with our staff, families, and community partners to make it an exceptional one. Together, we will build on the strong foundation we already have in place—focusing on student growth, meaningful relationships, and a culture that celebrates learning and achievement. My door is always open, and I truly value your input and support. Together, I know we will continue to achieve great things and create lasting memories for our students.
Thank you for the opportunity to lead, serve, and grow with you.
Warmly,
Emily Lawrence
Principal, Northrich Elementary

Assistant Principal Ross Ferrans
Dear Northrich Community,
I am honored to serve as the assistant principal of Northrich Elementary. I am proud to be part of this amazing campus and community, and I value the relationships I’ve built with parents, students, and teachers alike.
I began my career in Richardson ISD as a teacher at Forest Lane Academy and Arapaho Classical Magnet, later serving as an instructional coach at Yale Elementary before moving to assistant principal at Northrich in 2023. These diverse experiences have prepared me to support our students and staff in reaching their fullest potential.
Originally from Michigan, I have called Texas home for over a decade. My wife, Jenni, and I live in the Northrich neighborhood with our two children, Gabrielle and Grant. We love being part of the community we serve!
I am deeply committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for every child. I’m excited for all that’s ahead and look forward to working together to make Northrich Elementary a place where every student can shine and succeed.
