About Our School
Welcome to another exciting year of learning at Northrich Elementary. Thank you for choosing us, and trusting us with your most precious possessions, your children. We are very excited for this 2021-2022 school year here at NRE.
As a team, we can achieve more. We want to welcome parents to become involved and be a partner in your child’s education. It is our goal to work collaboratively with all our families. By working together, we can create the ultimate learning environment in which all students can achieve success.
Facts About NRE
Northrich Elementary, a Recognized Pre-K through 6th grade school located in Richardson, Texas, opened in school year 1960-1961. The school mascot “Richie the Bear” had colors of orange and black, but was later changed to maroon and white when the building was renovated in 1985. Another total renovation took place in 2001-2002.
Northrich was an Exemplary school in 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008, and 2009-2010.
Additional awards include TBEC Honor Roll (Texas Business & Education Coalition) 200-2008 and the Gold Medallion Award in 2007.
Northrich teachers and staff strive to instill a love for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship in a positive educational climate.
