Theatre Workshops Thrill Students

Dancers

Theatre Director, Jacob Hemsath, put together an exciting opportunity for West students during the second week of school. They had the chance to learn improv skills with UTD Theatre professor and playwright Fred Curchack. A Musical Theatre Dance workshop was offered with Isiah Harris who has performed professionally including at the Tony Award winning Dallas Theatre Center, Casa Manana and the Dallas Uptown Players. They also heard from professional stage manager, Lexi Salmon, who has also worked professionally for the above referenced theatres. The students were overjoyed to practice their skills and hear from professionals working in the field. Opportunities like these are so inspiring for our students and we are grateful to these experts for taking the time to visit West!
