Welcome to Thurgood Marshall!

Thurgood Marshall was completed in August 2005 and dedicated on October 2, 2005.  At the dedication, a congratulatory letter from U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young, who was involved in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was presented.  Our two-story school is 85,775 square feet and contains 447,709 Bricks!

We are honored to be named for late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.  The naming of the school honors the legacy of Justice Marshall who is recognized as the architect of the legal strategy that ended the era of official segregation.  He was the first African-American United States Supreme Court justice and served 24 years before retiring in 1991.
