Dear Wallace Elementary School Community,
It is with immense joy and great honor that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Wallace Elementary School. I am truly elated to join the Lake Highlands community and to partner with each of you in serving every child, every family, and every staff member at our school.
I’m originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and began my journey in education with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Southern University A&M. Since making Texas my home, I’ve had the joy of teaching Reading Language Arts at the middle school level, also serving in the role of instructional coach at the elementary level. I hold both a master’s and doctorate degree from Dallas Baptist University and bring 23 years of experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels, alongside a deep passion for learning, leadership, and student success.
As an experienced elementary principal, I believe strongly in the power of relationships, holding high expectations, and fostering a positive, inclusive school culture. I’m also a proud wife and mother of two amazing daughters, so I understand how important it is for children to feel safe, supported, and inspired every day.
I am committed to learning and honoring the rich history and traditions of Wallace Elementary, while working hand in hand with our incredible staff, supportive families, and engaged community. Together, we will ensure that every child is uplifted with the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to thrive and reach their full potential.
I am so excited to join the Wallace family. I look forward to a fantastic school year ahead, and I cannot wait to meet and get to know each of you.
