My name is Martha Rocio Villarreal, and I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Wallace Elementary in Richardson ISD. I’ve been in education for over 12 years, with 10 of those years dedicated to teaching bilingual elementary students and 2 years focused on coaching and supporting teachers.
I’ve spent half of my life in Mexico and the other half in Texas, so I am proudly bilticultural—something that deeply shapes how I connect with students, families, and staff. Being bilingual and bicultural allows me to build meaningful relationships and support all learners with empathy and understanding.
I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University. I’m passionate about creating a positive, inclusive school culture where every student feels supported and empowered to succeed.

Dear Wallace Community,
It is with honor that I introduce myself to you as your new Assistant Principal.
I recently completed my 34th year in RISD, with 32 of those years spent serving the Lake Highlands community at Aikin, Merriman Park, and White Rock Elementary. I also spent two great years at Audelia Creek. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about building strong relationships with students, staff, and families while creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all children.
I am a proud mom to two boys and a “GeeGee” to a sweet 4-year-old grandson who brings so much fun to my life.
I am incredibly excited for this new journey at Wallace and look forward to getting to know the students, staff, and families that make this community so special. I cannot wait to begin this next chapter together!
