Poem for a Pickle – Success! 🥒📚

National Poetry Month

During April, we celebrated National Poetry Month in the tastiest way possible — with our Poem for a Pickle event! Students shared original poems or favorite verses and were rewarded with a pickle for their creativity.

The library was buzzing with poetry, laughter, and a LOT of pickles — so many that we nearly ran out! It was wonderful to see our students excited about writing and reading poems, from funny rhymes to heartfelt stanzas.

Mrs. Mirsky helped spread the word by proudly wearing her pickle-themed shirts all month long, adding even more fun and excitement to the event! 🥒👕

A HUGE thank you to Kroger, Tom Thumb, and Best Maid Pickles for donating all the pickles that made this event possible! Your generosity helped bring poetry (and a lot of smiles) to our library. 💚

Thank you again to everyone who participated and made Poem for a Pickle such a big success!
