Last week, Mrs. Melson’s photography classes held a fun photo scavenger hunt. Each student was given the task of collecting photos based on certain categories, such as lines, contrast, and balance. From the moment they started, the atmosphere was full of excitement and laughter. Each student looked for unique angles that could showcase different themes. It was like being an art detective and looking for beauty in every corner!

After walking around and collecting photos, Mrs. Melson’s class returned to the room in high spirits. The process of sorting the photos was interesting as well! They compared each other’s work and gave each other feedback. Some captured the interesting lines of tree shadows, while others managed to capture the contrast between the colors of the plants and flowers. Finally, each student collected all the photos and turned them in. “Seeing my friends’ creations really made me excited to learn more about photography.” said a student in Mrs. Melson’s 2nd period photography class. This experience really reminded our students that art can be found anywhere, if we are willing to look at it differently!
