This summer and fall, Westwood JH is serving as a location for first responder ALERRT training. First responders from the cities of Richardson and Dallas will be using the school as a setting for the state-required active shooter training. Westwood students and staff are not involved in the training, which will take place on days and times that the building is not in use for school-related operations or activities.
Neighbors and parents may notice a significant presence of first responders and vehicles at the campus on different days, and should not be alarmed or concerned.
