Westwood Junior High Student Council Elections

voting

This past week, Westwood Junior High students were pulled out of their classes to cast their vote for the school’s Student Council president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and historian. This election was the perfect fit for Westwood because it was student run. Leadership students that were selected, did an excellent job of running and supervising the elections. Under the guidance of Mrs. Neese their teamwork paved the way for a successful and efficient election.

Mr.Godinez did a great job of setting up the election process. He and the yearbook staff were able to make the election process authentic and fun with their decor and efficiency. This was the first all-electronic election for Westwood. In the past students would fill out ballots and turn them in. Clearly that was a difficult task given that  Westwood has over 600 students casting ballots. The all-electronic voting made the election time quick and easy. The yearbook staff played an important role in deciding on the decorations. The decor of the election was cost effective and fun, their efforts are greatly appreciated in making the environment inviting.

This was a great election for Westwood Junior High. The only question now is, who will win?
