2nd grade students took a field trip to Berkner High School last Friday to visit the new SMART bank branch of the Credit Union of Texas. The students loved their visit to the bank and had so much fun learning about financial literacy. They created a budget, looked at income vs expenses, and categorized expenses into wants vs needs. They also learned about different type of savings accounts. Thank you second grade teachers for incorporating so much hands on and experienced based learning into your lessons.
