Meet Mrs. Congdon
Mrs. Congdon brings more than a decade of experience in education and a deep commitment to creating a positive, student-centered learning environment where every child can thrive. As a proud product of Richardson ISD, returning to serve the district has been both a personal and professional honor.
Before coming home to Richardson ISD, Mrs. Congdon served as both a teacher and Summer School Assistant Principal in Garland ISD, where she developed a strong foundation in instructional leadership, student achievement, and building positive campus culture. Upon returning to Richardson ISD, she served as Assistant Principal at Westwood Junior High before becoming the proud Principal of Aikin Elementary.
Mrs. Congdon is passionate about fostering a school community where students are inspired to learn, teachers are empowered to grow, and families are valued as essential partners in education. She believes that strong relationships, high expectations, and a culture of belonging are the foundation for student success and is honored to serve the Aikin Elementary community.
Outside of school, Mrs. Congdon enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband is an educator and coach in Prosper ISD, and together they are the proud parents of their one-year-old daughter, Aniston. Their family also includes their sweet puppy, Boss Lady. Mrs. Congdon cherishes making memories with her family and is grateful to be part of the Richardson ISD community both personally and professionally.

Lindsey Floyd
Hello Aikin Eagles!
My name is Lindsey Floyd, and I am honored to begin my fifth year as the Assistant Principal at Aikin Elementary. I have been in education for 20 years, and Richardson ISD has always held a special place in my heart. I am a proud product of RISD, attending Big Springs Elementary, Apollo Junior High, and graduating from Berkner High School. I was blessed to begin my teaching career right here in Richardson at Big Springs Elementary. After getting married, my husband and I lived in Big Spring and later Center, Texas, before returning home to Richardson. Since returning, I have served as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and now Assistant Principal at Aikin.
My philosophy is rooted in servant and instructional leadership. I believe every child can achieve high levels of success when given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow. By approaching both academics and behavior through an instructional lens and building a culture of love, belonging, trust, and collaboration, I know we can help every student thrive. It is a privilege to partner with our families and community as we work together to help every Eagle reach their full potential.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 17 years, Bobby Floyd, who is the owner of A&A Construction mainly replacing roofs, and our twin sixth graders, Aubrey and Asher, who attend Big Springs Elementary. As a family, we love traveling, playing board games, and never miss an episode of Survivor. We have always been a dog family, but these days our home is happily ruled by Odie, our one-year-old rescue cat. I look forward to another wonderful year partnering with our amazing Aikin families and community!
