The Berkner High School Speech & Debate Team kicked off their school year with impressive individual performances and strong team spirit at the Midway UIL Invitational in Waco on Saturday, October 24. Competing against standout programs from across the region, Berkner students demonstrated remarkable dedication, professionalism, and sportsmanship.

What makes their achievements even more compelling is the perseverance of these student-athletes—several team members participated in band performances late into Friday night before waking up early Saturday morning to make the trip to Waco. Despite tight schedules and competing commitments, the team showed up ready to excel.
